Upon opening a trading account, you receive a master (trading) password. Unlike the trading one, the investor password is used for observation. You can transfer it to another person for reference only; the option to place orders is disabled.
In the MetaTrader platform, you can create your investor password just in a few steps.
- PC
1. Once logged in, find the "Tools" menu and click "Options" there:
2. In the "Options" window, click on the "Server" tab to bring up your account details, then click "Change":
3. Once the "Change Password" window pops up, you will need to enter in the provided field your current trading password, then choose the "Change investor (read only) password" option and then enter your new desired investor password;
4. Do not forget to click "OK" to save the changes!
- Android
1. Once logged in, please, click on the “More” button on the account selection screen :
And select “Change password”, as shown:
2. Once on the "Change Password" screen, make sure to select “Change investor password”:
3. Then you need to enter in the provided fields your current trading password and your new desired investor password;
4. Do not forget to click "Done" to save the changes!
- iOS:
1. Once logged in, please, select the “Settings” tab and click on your account number:
2. On the next page, click on the account you want to change the password for:
3. Then scroll down to find “Change password”:
Click on it and select “Change Investor Password”:
4. Once on the "Change Password" screen, enter in the provided fields your current trading password and your new desired investor password;
5. Do not forget to click "Done" to save the changes!
